Know your consumer rights

Trading Standards are there to ensure that anything you purchase is of an acceptable quality, safe and matches the product description.

Everyone has the same consumer rights regardless of age, so you have the exact same rights as everyone else.

Have you ever purchased something and not been satisfied with it? Or maybe you believe you have been misled by an advertisement? If so then this website/section will tell you what you should expect from shops/traders and their products, what you should do if your purchase does not meet your expectations and where Trading Standards can help you.
